Brandon Inge will start in right field for the Pirates Friday.
Daily Leaguers, pay attention!!! Yes, we are just kidding. Although Inge has been known to go on tears from time to time, and although he's been hitting the ball well recently, he's really not much of an option anywhere, except for the rare days where he has a favorable matchup. With no career AB's against Detwiler, it's hard to predict Inge's night. Don't bother with him

Inge is hitting an empty .321 this season (9-for-28) with one extra base hit. So, even for NL-only leagues Inge is a reach as his average will surely regress as he is a career .234 hitter and brings little power. I know what a surprise for all those who remember his poor Home Run display a few years back.

Update: Brandon Inge (shoulder) has been activated by the Pirates on Tuesday. He will be in Tuesday's starting lineup.
Inge is a career .234/.303/.387 hitter with a slight amount of pop in his bat. He should only be owned in the deepest of deep NL-Only leagues.

Brandon Inge (shoulder) is expected to come off the Disabled List on Monday, according to Pirates GM Neal Huntington.
Inge is nothing more than a bench bat for the Pirates, which means in fantasy terms, he's completely, utterly, 100% irrelevant. BUT, he is one of those guys that always seems to go on one nasty power surge each year where he hits 6 HR in 5 games. So, IF there's an injury on the Pirates, and IF Inge gets more regular playing time, and IF he pops a few homers, then, and only then, will we advise you to snatch him from the waiver wire.

Brandon Inge was removed from lineup today due to lingering discomfort as a result of being hit by a pitch in right shoulder blade on March 14th.
Inge should be avoided like the plague on draft day and viewed as a non-factor in Mixed League formats moving forward into 2013. Even in AL Only leagues, Inge should be reserved; hopefully you can scrape better fantasy talent off of the bottom of your shoe / league waiver wire.

Inge is not fantasy relevant even as a backup. Avoid him at all cost and look for alternate replacements. If he's on your roster, rid him now.
