C.C. Sabathia made his Spring Training debut on Friday, he said there should be no issue getting ready to start on Opening Day.
Sabathia is in line to have another solid season and defiantly a starting pitcher number one in every fantasy format. The right-hander should be drafted in between the third and seventh rounds.

CC Sabathia made his spring training debut Friday against the Miami Marlins and left after five innings with a 3-2 lead. But the Yankees' ace barely lit up the radar gun -- his fastball loitered in the 88-90 mph range -- and he allowed eight hits, all of them singles, to a relatively weak-hitting Marlins club.
Sabathia should be owned in all fantasy formtats. Grab him while you still can if you haven't already.

It's fair to say that Sabathia may have fallen out of the top tier, and Elite status, as far as SP's go, due to his ominous elbow issues from last season. Taking all of that into consideration, he is still a proven workhorse playing for a competitive NYY team; as long as he is their #1 starter and in good health, we are not too concerned about slightly diminished velocity in spring training. C.C. can be drafted confidently as a #2 pitcher in all formats and should be targeted in the top 7 rounds of all drafts.

CC Sabathia, threw a 50-pitch simulated game on Sunday morning at the team complex in Tampa, and told the media he hasn't thought about his elbow surgery at all during his last couple of outings. “I’m working pretty hard and trying to throw all my pitches and make it as game-like as possible,” Sabathia said. “I felt like I was throwing a little harder today.” Manager Joe Girardi also feels Sabathia is ready, and the southpaw will make his Grapefruit League debut on Friday when the Yankees host the Marlins in Tampa.
CC Sabathia said his elbow felt good after Thursday's bullpen session: "I feel pretty good, especially after today. I cut a few loose and had no pain."
This is great news for the Yankees, and fantasy owners alike. CC Sabathia is one of the few cornerstone pieces on the Yankees that doesn't have a potential PED suspension, or a current nagging injury, damaging his draft day value. In fact, CC's draft day value is the lowest it's been in years. If CC is indeed healthy, you're looking at a fantasy staff ace, for 2nd/3rd starter value on draft day.
