Lorenzo Cain is not in the Royals' starting lineup on Sunday.
Cain is in a five game slump having just two hits in his last 20 at-bats. David Lough will replace Cain in center and is batting fifth making him worth a look in Daily League contests if you were looking for an inexpensive option (about 6% of cap) at the outfield position. Lough (Low) is 4-for-9 in his last two starts.

Lorenzo Cain is not in the Royals' starting lineup on Sunday.
Cain is a low-end cheap speed option who is viable in AL-only leagues and deeper mixed league formats. His power has been down this year and he CS rate is higher than you hoped, but keep him for his speed potential. He could be trade bait later on when a team desperate for steals is looking.

Royals manager Ned Yost said Lorenzo Cain will take over the leadoff spot in the lineup on days when Jarrod Dyson does not play.
He's on pace to shatter his career high in BB of 15 this year (he currently stands at 9). He's not going to be able to sustain his .386 OBP for much longer; there's no other way for it to go but down. This move screams to me that that Yost is trying desperately hard to find an adequate leadoff man. Alex Gordon did very well, but his bat serves better at 3-4-5. Look for the Royals to shop for a leadoff hitter (most likely one that plays 2B) come the trade deadline in July if they're still in it. Cain's production is going to take a dive with this move even if it isn't an everyday gig.

Lorenzo Cain is not in the Royals' starting lineup on Sunday.
Lorenzo Cain as more than fufilled his sleeper status this season as he is hitting over .300, with 17 runs, 17 RBI, 9 extra base hits, and four stolen bases (although he has been caught stealing three times). A day off here and there for Cain is a good thing as he has battled injuries on and off in his short career, so hopefully this will help keep him fresh for the long haul.

Lorenzo Cain is not in the Royals starting lineup on Thursday.
Cain has been a wonder this year for those that drafted him late or plucked him off waivers if he was forgotten about after last year's abbreviated campaign. Cain only has one homer and three steals, but he's batting .329/.383/.463 in a strong start to the campaign for the Royals. Big things might be in his future if he can stay healthy this season.

Jarred Dyson will replace Lorenzo Cain in Thursday's line up as the Royals take on Roberto Hernandez & the Rays. In six at-bats Dyson has no hits against him.

Royals OF Lorenzo Cain (hand) took 50 pain-free swings in the batting cage Saturday and remains on target to resume playing next week.
Cain has continued his hot-hitting ways, going 2-for-4 last night with 2 Runs and an RBI. He's batting .359 on the year with 9 runs, 10 RBI, 1 HR and 2 SB. Net net, he's a 4.5 tool player with upside for very well rounded stats. He's only owned in just over 50% of Yahoo! leagues and deserves to be owned in much more at this point.
