Luis Mendoza will start on Friday night against the Toronto Blue Jays, but he'll be skipped on the next turn of the rotation because of three off-days in an eight-day period starting on Monday.
The Royals would be wise to skip EVERY start that Mendoza was/is scheduled for a put someone in his place. The 29 year old RHP has a 5.31 career ERA and while he had a quality first start that only leads me to believe that he is due for a stinker. Stay away at all costs. Royals announce that Luis Mendoza will be the teams fifth starter.
Huge news for leagues with QS! Only kidding. Mendoza is as middling a SP as they come, offering upside potential in precisely zero standard scoring categories. Unless you're in a fairly deep AL-only league, this guy should not even be on your radar. Analyst: RotoBaller.com View Profile
