Chauncey Billups (groin) will not play in Sunday's game against the Lakers.

Clippers guard Chauncey Billups was able to overcome a back injury as he remained in the starting lineup Thursday night against the Clippers. Billups did not make much of an impact as he went 2 of 6 shooting from the field, including 2 of 4 from beyond the arc, and 2 of 2 from the free throw line.

The Clippers and fantasy owners alike need Billups healthy for their respective playoff runs. Chances are he will miss a game or two because of the injury as a precaution. Eric Bledsoe will get his minutes if he does sit.

Chauncey Billups (back) is hopeful he'll be able to play against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Chauncey Billups is listed as day-to-day, but he will check Thursday to see if he can return against Miami.

The Clippers are in no rush to get Billups back on the court, even though their back court has taken a hit as of late. Billups has played just three games this season, so when he does return he will be eased back into action. Considering how the Clippers spread out their production between 10+ players, Billups' fantasy value is at an all time low at this point in his career.

Chauncey Billups remains out with tendinitis in his left foot.

Clippers point guard Chauncey Billups (Achilles) has started participating in 3-on-3 drills in practice, reports the Los Angeles Daily News. That said, there remains no timetable for Billups to return to action for the Clippers. "He's getting a lot of therapy and he said it's feeling a lot better," said coach Vinny Del Negro. "Then we'll see how he reacts and I'll have a better feel for his return."

Chauncey Billups, who has played in three games this season, is nearing a return to practice after recovering from tendinitis in his left foot and could be back on the court by the end of the month.
