Dwight Howard finished with just 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting, nine rebounds, two assists, four blocks, five turnovers, and only shot four free throws (2-for-4) as the Lakers fell to the Spurs Wednesday 102-91.
We saw glimpses of his greatness in the early going, but he disappeared as the game progressed. The raw ability is there for Howard, but his time in LA has been anything but fruitful for his fantasy owners. His ability to rebound and block shots will keep him ranked among the best fantasy big men in the game, but he is no longer leading the class.

Dwight Howard youngest player in NBA history to collect 9,000 rebounds.
That's pretty cool. The Lakers are hot going into the playoffs and Howard is reminding everybody that he is the best center in the NBA.

Dwight Howard said he tweaked his shoulder just 17 seconds into the game Friday when David West blocked him. "It was hurting throughout the game." Howard stayed in the game and played through the injury so we wouldn't expected him to miss time.
Howard has struggled with this injury all season long, so it comes down to his ability to manage the pain. Luckily for Fantasy owners, Howard was able to finish out the game. Howard may continue to be an up and down Fantasy performer, but if Kobe were to miss an extended amount of time the Lakers would lean on Howard to carry the teams scoring load, thus increasing Howards Fantasy value, at least in the short-term.
