The All-Star break couldn't come fast enough for the Nuggets who are already dealing with a handful of injuries. McGee is the latest casualty and is consider day-to-day for now and will likely be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Nets. Analyst: Matthew Beck View Profile
Nuggets C JaVale McGee (shin) remains questionable for tomorrow's game vs. New Orleans.
Kosta Koufos did not take advantage of his opportunity when McGee sat out the Nuggets previous game, producing just six points, four rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal in just 20 minutes of action versus a Rockets team defense that has been better of late allowing just the seventh fewest points in the point over the last three games. Koufos only value lies in block shots, but if McGee were to miss Fridays game Koufos will see a more favorable match up for him versus a Hornets team that has been one of the ten worst teams in the league in allowing points in the paint most of the season. Thus, you may consider starting Koufos in a Daily League Contest if you are desperate for a value play. Analyst: Michael Pichan View Profile
JaVale McGee (shin) will not play against the Rockets on Wednesday.
With McGee out of the line up in Denver's previous game, Kosta Koufos played over 30 minutes and was one point shy of a double-double while adding three blocks. In two games this season versus Houston Koufos is averaging 25 mpg, 6pts, 5 reb, and less than one block. Analyst: Michael Pichan View Profile
Nuggets center JaVale McGee was ruled out of Denver's game against the Indiana Pacers on Monday night due to soreness in his left shin.
McGee has been experiencing pain recently in and around his left tibia. The Nuggets said he underwent a CT scan to try to determine whether a stress fracture was the source of the problem. However, there was no immediate indication of a stress fracture.
