The Dallas Mavericks did not advance discussions with free agent point guard Ramon Sessions over the weekend, however those talks are likely to resume Monday, according to a source close to the situation.
Lakers' Ramon Sessions has options for his future.
The point guard has a player option next season for $4.6 million and could opt out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent, but General Manager Mitch Kupchak is not concerned when asked whether Sessions would be the Lakers' point guard next season.
"Yes," Kupchak said. "That may mean he opts out. That may mean he doesn't opt out or he opts out and we re-sign him. I don't know how that's going to play out. But we were aware of that player option."
