Dez Bryant had off-season surgery on his finger and in the final game of the season, Bryant suffered a lower back injury that caused Bryant so much pain that he couldn’t stand on his own. Bryant stated that it took a while to recover from the back injury, but said that he is "ready to go."
Dez was a top 5 fantasy WR over the 2nd half of the 2012-13 fantasy season, and should be considered a #1 WR coming into the 2013-14 drafts.

Only Megatron and Julio Jones should be drafted ahead of Bryant at this point. The 93 catches, 1382 yards and 12 TD of last season should be the baseline for 2013.

ESPN reports that Cowboys coach Jason Garrett praised receiver Dez Bryant for his off-field work in becoming more responsible. "He's just a really, really good young man," Garrett said. "He's made great strides over the last three years. We feel good about the progress he's made, not only as a player but as a person. We all know from the background from where he came; he's really grown a lot. I think the consistency that he's shown in his personal life spills over and the consistency he's shown as a player and his production he's shown on Sundays.
Bryant was considered one of the best receivers in the game in the second half of the season in 2012; well other than Calvin Johnson of course. Bryant is continuing to grow and should be considered a No. 1 receiver going into fantasy drafts.

The surgery Dez Bryant put off until the end of the season, occurred Tuesday morning. The Cowboys’ wide receiver had a successful procedure that will likely keep him out for parts of the offseason conditioning program.
Cowboys wont rush Bryant back this summer, but the hope is he will be 100 percent ready for training camp in Oxnard, Calif. in late July, if not sooner for a possible June mini-camp.
