Baltimore Orioles
(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Thursday surrendering two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter. He needed 26 pitches to get through the appearance raising his earned-run average to 3.83 on the season. (08/03/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Picked up his 17th hold of the season on Monday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning. He gave up one hit in the appearance and has now pitched back-to-back days. (07/31/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Picked up his eighth hold of the season on Monday after pitching 0.1 innings of relief. He needed only two pitches to force the only batter he faced to ground out to get out of the seventh inning. (07/31/12)

Boston Red Sox
(CL) Alfredo Aceves (R)–Picked up the win on Sunday after pitching 2.1 innings of relief giving up one hit while striking out two batters. He has now pitched back-to-back games and will likely be unavailable on Monday after pitching 3.1 innings the last two days. (07/30/12)
(SU) Vicente Padilla (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Monday giving up one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. With this appearance Padilla lowered his earned-run average to 3.82 on the season. (07/31/12)
(MR) Mark Melancon (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Wednesday giving up one walk in the outing. He needed 12 pitches to get through the appearance forcing two ground ball outs to get through the appearance. (08/02/12)

Chicago White Sox
(CL) Addison Reed (R)–Recorded his 18th save of the season on Wednesday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit and one walk in the outing. With this appearance Reed lowered his earned-run average to 4.03 on the season. (08/02/12)
(SU) Brett Myers (R)–Took the loss on Monday night after giving up one run on one hit in the ninth inning. The run which became the deciding factor of the game was from a sacrifice fly from Jamie Carroll, which was unearned, but he is still perfect since joining the White Sox. (07/31/12)
(MR) Matt Thornton (L)– Picked up the win on Tuesday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. With this appearance Thornton improved to 3-6 on the season with a 3.60 earned-run average. (08/01/12)

Cleveland Indians
(CL) Chris Perez (R)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Thursday after giving up a walk-off hit in the 11th inning. He was not charged with the loss or blown-save since he entered with runner on base. (08/03/12)
(SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Pitched two innings of relief on Thursday giving up one walk in the outing. With this appearance Pestano lowered his earned-run average to 1.37 on the season, which ranks him amongst the best setup men in baseball. (08/03/12)
(MR) Tony Sipp (L)–Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Thursday retiring all five batters he faced in order. He struck out two batters in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs to get the job done. (08/03/12)

Los Angeles Angels
(CL) Ernesto Frieri (R)– Was charged with his first blown-save of the season on Wednesday after surrendering four runs on three hits and one walk in the ninth inning. This was Frieri’s worst appearance of the season, but he has shown he can bounce back before so don’t look too much into this appearance. (08/02/12)
(SU) Kevin Jepsen (R)–Picked up his seventh hold of the season on Wednesday despite giving up one run on one hit and one walk in the eighth inning. With this appearance Jepsen raised his earned-run average to 4.50 on the season. (08/02/12)
(MR) Jason Isringhausen (R)–Took the loss and was charged with his third blown-save of the season on Wednesday after giving up one run on three hits in the 10th inning. With this appearance Isringhausen falls to 3-1 with a 3.06 earned-run average. (08/02/12)

Minnesota Twins
(CL) Glen Perkins (L)–Recorded his sixth save of the season on Thursday after pitching two innings of relief. He retired all six batters he faced in order striking out three batters while forcing oen ground ball out and two fly ball outs to get the job done. (08/03/12)
(CL) Jared Burton (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Wednesday retiring both batters he faced in order. He threw just four pitches in the appearance forcing two fly ball outs while lowering his earned-run average to 2.36 on the season. (08/02/12)
(MR) Alex Burnett (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Burnett lowered his earned-run average to 2.84 on the season. (08/02/12)

(MR) Jordan Norberto (L)–Pitched two innings of relief on Wednesday giving up one run on one hit while striking out one batter. The run came via a solo-home run in the eighth inning which accounts for the one earned-run he allowed. (08/02/12)

(SU) Lucas Luetge (L)–Picked up his ninth hold of the season on Wednesday after striking out the only batter he faced in the eighth inning. He threw just five pitches in the appearance with four pitches going over for strikes. (08/02/12)
(MR) Shawn Kelley (R)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Tuesday night giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Kelley lowered his earned-run average to 3.64 on the season. (08/01/12)

(MR) Kyle Farnsworth (R)–Took the loss on Monday after giving up one run on one hit and two walks in the 15th inning. With this appearance Farnsworth falls to 0-3 on the season with a 5.59 earned-run average. (07/31/12)

Texas Rangers
(CL) Joe Nathan (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Thursday night giving up one run on two hits and one walk. (MR) Robbie Ross (L)–Pitched 1.2 innings of relief on Wednesday giving up two walks while striking out three batters. With this appearance Ross lowered his earned-run average to 1.72 on the season. (08/02/12)

Atlanta Braves
(CL) Craig Kimbrel (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday in a non-save situation giving up one hit and one walk while striking out three batters. This was Kimbrel’s first appearance since last Saturday so expect him to be available for this weekend’s series against the Astros. (08/03/12)
(SU) Eric O’Flaherty (L)–Pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Tuesday night giving up one hit in the outing while striking out one batter. He threw 16 pitches in the appearance forcing two ground ball outs to go along with his strikeout. (08/01/12)
(MR) Jonny Venters (L)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Sunday giving up a hit to the only batter he faced in the sixth inning. He threw just two pitches in the appearance but was pulled after failing to get out a left-handed batter. (07/30/12)

Chicago Cubs
(CL) Carlos Marmol (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Wednesday giving up one run on two hits while striking out three batters. This was Marmol’s first appearance since Sunday so expect him to be available for this weekend’s series against the Dodgers. (08/02/12)
(SU) James Russell (L)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Wednesday giving up one hit while striking out two batters. With this appearance Russell lowered his earned-run average to 3.33 on the season. (08/02/12)
(MR) Shawn Camp (R)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Wednesday giving up five runs on seven hits in the eighth inning. The big-blow came off of a three-run home run in the inning, which was the dagger. (08/02/12)

Cincinnati Reds
(CL) Aroldis Chapman (L)–Recorded his 23rd hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning giving up one hit while striking out one batter. Chapman has now pitched back-to-back days and will likely get the day off on Thursday. (08/02/12)
(SU) Jonathan Broxton (R)–Picked up his first hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning striking out one batter. This was his first appearance as a member of the Reds and he couldn’t have done much more to impress. (08/02/12)
(MR) Sean Marshall (L)–Picked up his 15th hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching a 1-2-3 seventh inning. With the addition of Jonathan Broxton, Marshall will likely be used in the seventh inning role moving forward. (08/02/12)

Colorado Rockies
(CL) Rafael Betancourt (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. This was Betancourt’s first appearance since last Saturday so this was clearly the Rockies giving him some work in a blowout. (08/03/12)
(SU) Matt Belisle (R)–Picked up his 14th hold of the season on Thursday after pitching a 1-2-3 eighth inning. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out and one fly ball out on nine pitches thrown. (08/03/12)
(MR) Matt Reynolds (L)–Pitched one inning of relief on Wednesday giving up one run on one hit and two walks in the appearance. With this outing Reynolds raised his earned-run average to 3.57 on the season. (08/02/12)

Houston Astros
(CL) Wilton Lopez (R)–Pitched 0.1 innings of relief on Sunday striking out the only batter he faced in the inning. He threw just three pitches to close out the game in a non-save situation in the ninth inning. (07/30/12)
(SU) Francisco Cordero (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Wednesday surrendering three runs on four hits while striking out one batter. Cordero has been terrible since joining the Astros and is now sitting on a 19.80, so he is not worth owning in any fantasy league format. (08/02/12)
(MR) Fernando Rodriguez (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Wednesday giving up one run on two hits while striking out one batter. He needed 25 pitches to get through the appearance with 20 pitches going over for strikes. (08/02/12)

Los Angeles Dodgers
(CL) Kenley Jansen (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. He struck out two batters in the appearance while forcing one fly ball out on just nine pitches thrown. (08/02/12)
(SU) Ronald Belisario (R)–Pitched 0.2 innings of relief on Tuesday night giving up one run on one hit and two walks. Belisario has now given up three runs in his last 1.2 innings of relief, and with the arrival of Brandon Leagues, Belisario may be moved out of the setup role. (08/01/12)

(SU) Heath Bell (R)–Picked up his fourth hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief. He gave up one hit while striking out one batter in the appearance needing 14 pitches to get the job done. (08/02/12)
(MR) Mike Dunn (L)–Picked up his 11th hold of the season on Wednesday after pitching 1.1 innings of relief giving up one hit and two walks in the outing. This wasn’t a great outing from Dunn, but he was able to work out of a jam by forcing two ground ball outs and two fly ball outs to get through the appearance. (08/02/12)

Milwaukee Brewers
(CL) John Axford (R)–Recorded his 17th save of the season on Monday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief. He enter the ninth inning after Kameron Loe and Livan Hernandez couldn’t get the job done, so don’t expect him to get all the save chances moving forward. (07/31/12)
(CL) Francisco Rodriguez (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation. He struck out two batters in the appearance while forcing one fly ball out on 12 pitches thrown. (08/01/12)
(MR) Kameron Loe (R)–Failed to record an out in his appearance on Monday giving up one run on one hit and one walk. He threw 11 pitches in the appearance with only four pitches going over for strikes. (07/31/12)
