Addison Reed (R)–Recorded his 21st save of the season on Tuesday night after pitching 1.1 innings of relief giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this appearance Reed lowered his earned-run average to 3.83 on the season.

Baltimore Orioles
(CL) Jim Johnson (R)–Recorded his 34th save of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless ninth inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. He needed 14 pitches to get through the appearance forcing one ground ball out and two fly ball outs to get the job done. (08/13/12)
(SU) Pedro Strop (R)–Picked up his 19th hold of the season on Sunday after pitching a scoreless eighth inning. He gave up one walk in the appearance while striking out one batter on 15 pitches thrown in the outing. (08/13/12)
(MR) Darren O’Day (R)–Pitched a scoreless seventh inning on Tuesday night giving up one hit and one walk while striking out three batters. With this appearance O’Day lowered his earned-run average to 2.45 on the season. (08/15/12)

(SU) Vinnie Pestano (R)–Picked up his 32nd hold of the season on Monday despite giving up two runs on one hit and one walk in the eighth inning. Despite the rough outing, Pestano is still sitting on a 1.56 earned-run average on the season. (08/14/12)
(MR) Tony Sipp (L)–Picked up his 12th hold of the season on Thursday after pitching a scoreless seventh inning retiring all three batters he faced in order. He struck out one batter in the appearance while forcing one ground ball out on seven pitches thrown. (08/10/12)

Detroit Tigers
(CL) Jose Valverde (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday night in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out one batter in the appearance. He needed 22 pitches to get through the appearance with 17 pitches going over for strikes. (08/15/12)

(CL) Dale Thayer (R)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday in a non-save situation retiring all three batters he faced in order. He needed only seven pitches to get the job done and appears to be over the rough stretch he went through in his last two appearances. (06/04/12)
(SU) Andrew Cashner (R)–Picked up the win on Friday night after pitching a scoreless eighth inning giving up one walk while striking out one batter. With this outing Cashner improves to 3-3 on the season. (06/02/12)
(MR) Luke Gregerson (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday giving up one run on one hit walks two walks while striking out one batter. Gregerson has now pitched in back-to-back games and will likely be unavailable on Sunday. (06/03/12)

San Francisco Giants
(CL) Santiago Casilla (R)–Casilla was removed from Friday night’s game after suffering an apparent knee injury and recorded just one out in the inning. He was replaced by Javier Lopez who went on to earn the save. Be sure to check his status moving forward. (06/02/12)
(SU) Sergio Romo (R)–Recorded his second save of the season on Sunday after being used to get the final two outs of the ninth inning. Romo has now pitched in back-to-back games and may be unavailable to pitch on Monday against the Cubs. (06/04/12)
(MR) Javier Lopez (L)–Picked up his sixth hold of the season on Saturday after pitching 0.2 innings of relief throwing only two pitches. He recorded the first two outs of the ninth inning before being replaced by Sergio Romo. (06/03/12)
(MR) Jeremy Affeldt (L)–Recorded his first save of the season on Monday after pitching a scoreless eighth and ninth inning for the Giants. He was only used in this situation due to the injury to Santiago Casilla and because Sergio Santos was unavailable, so don’t look too much into this situation. (06/05/12)

St. Louis Cardinals
(CL) Jason Motte (R)–Recorded his ninth save of the season on Monday after pitching 1.1 innings of relief striking out two batters. He retired all four batters he faced in order needing 23 pitches to get the job done. (06/05/12)
(SU) Mitchell Boggs (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Saturday giving up one run on one hit while striking out two batters. The run came via a David Wright home run in the eighth inning, but besides one bad pitch Boggs looked good. (06/03/12)
(MR) Eduardo Sanchez (R)–Picked up his first hold of the season on Monday despite giving up one run on two hits in the eighth inning. This was the first time in three appearances that he gave up a run, so hopefully he will be able to right the ship next time he takes the mound. (06/05/12)

Washington Nationals
(CL) Tyler Clippard (R)–Recorded his fourth save of the season on Saturday after pitching a 1-2-3 ninth inning. He struck out two batters in the appearance and is a perfect 4-for-4 in save opportunities since taking over the role. (06/03/12)
(SU) Sean Burnett (L)–Pitched a scoreless ninth inning on Sunday in a non-save situation giving up one hit while striking out one batter. With this outing Burnett lowered his earned-run average to 0.54 on the season. (06/04/12)
(MR) Henry Rodriguez (R)–Pitched one inning of relief on Monday giving up one run on one hit. He needed 20 pitches to get through the appearance and has now given up an earned-run in three straight outings. (05/29/12)
