Cubs - Aramis Ramirez-3B

  Cubs     Aramis Ramirez-3B
  Mar 14, 2012  1:12 pm EST

Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez, who was lifted from Saturday's game because of a sore right triceps, said on Sunday his arm is fine, and he's expected to resume throwing in a couple of days. Ramirez said he felt something on a throw to first in the second inning of Saturday's split-squad 11-4 win against the Reds in Mesa. He understands that Cubs fans will panic when they hear that he's feeling any discomfort. "There's no reason to [panic]," Ramirez said. "In a couple days, I'll be back in there." He missed two months last season after dislocating his right shoulder in early May, yet still finished with 65 RBIs, 15 homers and a .317 batting average. Saturday's injury also has no effect on the Cubs' trip on Monday to Tucson, Ariz. "I wasn't going anyways," Ramirez said of the upcoming junket. "[Lou Piniella] told me during batting practice [Saturday] that I wasn't going. I was supposed to play [Sunday]." Instead, Chad Tracy will start at third base in the Cubs' game against the Angels on Sunday. Ramirez said he'll throw either Monday or Tuesday, depending on how his arm feels. First baseman Derrek Lee also was not in Sunday's lineup to give him more time to heal a bruise on the top of his left foot. Lee fouled a ball off his foot last Wednesday and has not played.

Value:  Value is based on a standard score calculation, where 0.0 is the average for your league's top players (based on your settings). As a general guideline, a value of 2.0 and above for an individual category is very good, -2.0 and below, really bad.
Rankings:  These Values are assigned to each Player, and they show how easy or hard it is to perform in a certain category against them. For instance, A Player may have an Ease Ranking of 2.50 for the HR Category, meaning they're very easy to hit HR's against.
