MLB Free Agent - Alex Cora -SS

MLB Free Agent     Alex Cora -SS
  Feb 04, 2012  11:20 pm EST

The Cardinals are close to signing Alex Cora to a minor league contract reports MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez. The team didn't confirm that a deal was close. Cora is a Scott Boras client. Earlier this month we learned that the 36-year-old infielder intended to play in 2012, though he was drawing interest as a coach. Cora hit just .224/.287/.276 in 172 plate appearances with the Nationals last season while playing all four infield spots.

Value:  Value is based on a standard score calculation, where 0.0 is the average for your league's top players (based on your settings). As a general guideline, a value of 2.0 and above for an individual category is very good, -2.0 and below, really bad.
Rankings:  These Values are assigned to each Player, and they show how easy or hard it is to perform in a certain category against them. For instance, A Player may have an Ease Ranking of 2.50 for the HR Category, meaning they're very easy to hit HR's against.
