The Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns are engaged in trade talks centered on forward Rudy Gay, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Grizzlies have been shopping Gay to multiple teams, and found an interested trade partner with the Suns, sources said.There's no framework of a possible deal in place, but the Grizzlies have expressed a strong desire that any package involving Gay include Suns forward Jared Dudley and future first-round draft picks, sources said.

Gay's potential trade value is not a good bet to increase tonight against the Spurs. Sure, he is a strong athlete that loves to get to the rim, but San Antonio excels at taking away star player's strength. That fact would suggest that Gay may spend some time behind the three point line tonight, something that has little chance of helping his fantasy owners. He has made only four of his 16 attempts and is a 20.4% career three point shooter against the Spurs. To make matters worse, San Antonio boasts the second best three point percentage defense (32.7%).
