Iman Shumpert-G - Knicks
Iman Shumpert is close to making his season debut. "Feels great," he said of his knee after his first two full-contact practices earlier this week. "I haven't had any setbacks." Shumpert pulled off a windmill dunk during his workout before Thursday's game in Indiana. He says such moves help him "forget that I was hurt" and also motivate others to push him to return sooner.
Shumpert isn't expected to play this weekend. There is no target date set as to when he will be back in uniform. After Sunday, the team has just one game in London against the Pistons during a week span. He should return sometime before the end of January.
