Brandon Knight-G - Pistons

Last Updated: 1 Feb, 08:45 AM

The Detroit News reports Thursday that the Pistons will likely shift Brandon Knight to shooting guard after acquiring Jose Calderon in a trade Wednesday. Rookie Kyle Singler is expected to shift to small forward as well.

The move to shooting guard will allow the Pistons to have both Jose Calderon and Brandon Knight on the court at the same time, but also in the mix is Rodney Stuckey and Will Bynum. This will likely result in decreased minutes for Knight, who has had an up-and-down season, so fantasy owners may want to seek trades before his stock trends downward.

If Knight's minutes do not take a big hit with the addition of Calderon, Knight's stock may improve slightly with the move to shooting guard. Knight has been a turn over machine averaging the seventh most turnovers per game amongst point guards and has the fourth worst assist rate amongst guards who are playing 30+ minutes.
