Starting shooting guard Wesley Matthews said Saturday he was “optimistic” he would return Monday after missing the Blazers’ 105-99 win over the Utah Jazz with a sprained right ankle, but he’s officially listed as questionable.
SF Victor Clave started in Matthews place, but it was Nolan Smith who provided the better Fantasy numbers off the bench (13 points, 2 three pointers, two assists, a steal and a rebound in 18 minutes). If Matthews and Ronnie Price (questionable Monday due to ankle injury) were to miss Mondays game, versus the defensively vulnerable Timber Wolves backcourt, then Nolan Smith could possibly provide some decent value in daily league formats.
