The agent for Rajon Rondo tells CSNNE.com that the torn ACL injury suffered by Rondo is a partial tear, opening the door for him to possibly return to the floor sooner than anticipated.
Following the injury, Rondo's timetable to return to action was expected to be sometime before the start of next season.
"It's still too early to tell for sure," his agent Bill Duffy told CSNNE.com. "But we are very optimistic about his return now that we know his injury is only a partial tear and not a full tear."
This is obviously positive news for Rondo owners who were able to stash him in leagues that have an IR spot, but I wouldn't get too excited quite yet. The Celtics have won six straight and even though they would love to have Rondo back sooner then later, you have to believe they will take every precaution necessary with Rondo, with any likely return coming to late for Fantasy owners, especially in Head-to-Head formats. If you still own Rondo you may be able to use this optimistic report to trade him, in a package deal, for player(s) that can help your team now.
