Three teams have perfect records when leading after six innings: Rangers (23-0), Yankees (21-0) and Indians (19-0.) All lead their division leaders.

Garin Cecchini leads the Carolina League (High-A) in batting average (.382), on-base percentage (.477), slugging (.664), and extra-base hits (23).

Twins number two pitching prospect, Kyle Gibson, pitched a complete game, 3-hit shutout Sunday, his second 9-inning shutout in his last 3 starts.

Gibson continues to rebound from his 2011 Tommy John surgery, and is doing it in fantastic fashion. It would not be a surprise to see Gibson up with the Twins sooner than later, making him worth a stash in AL-only leagues, just do not expect a lot of strikeouts as he is more of a pitch to contact type pitcher.rn

Jason Grilli pitched a 1-2-3 inning ninth to earn his league leading 17th save of the season Sunday.

David Murphy went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored, a walk, and was caught stealing in Sunday's 11-8 win over the Tigers.

David Murphy batted in the two-hole for the second game in a row, and Rangers manager Ron Washington said that he will continue to bat Murphy in that spot of the lineup for the foresee able future. Batting second should help increase Murphy's value going forward as he will get more at-bats per game and should see better pitches to hit (think how hitting second has helped Tigers Tori Hunter).
