Lance Lynn-P - Cardinals

Last Updated: 21 Jan, 10:58 PM

Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak views Lance Lynn as the “front-runner” in the competition for the No. 5 starter spot.

Lynn struggled in the playoffs last year, but had a solid regular season as he compiled 18 wins with a 3.78 ERA. The 25-year-old was an all-star in 2012 and should gain first rights to the rotation. Top pitching prospect Shelby Miller is the man to watch just in case Lynn does not end up as the number five starter.
