Though the Minnesota Vikings waited a couple days into free agency to bring in Greg Jennings for a visit, probably to see whether his initial contract price had dropped, they appear to be making a strong personal pitch that they want him.
According to a tweet by former Press-Gazette reporter Tom Pelissero, who covers the Vikings for 1500ESPN.com in Minnesota, Jennings had dinner Thursday night with Vikings coach Leslie Frazier, general manager Rick Spielman and defensive end Jared Allen.
Jennings is visiting the Vikings tonight and Friday, and his dinner company suggests they might try to convince him to sign a contract before he leaves town.
Jennings has been Aaron Rodgers' favorite target the past few years. Before his injury-marred 2012 season, he had caught 67 or more passes in each of the previous four seasons, and gone over 1,000 yards receiving in all but one of those years. He finished with 949 yards in 2011 after missing three games with a knee injury.

The Vikings are in desperate need of a wide receiver. Although he would instantly be the No. 1 receiver in Minnesota, it might not necessarily help his fantasy status. He would be better off with the Packers and Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball.
