Updated: Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll on WR Percy Harvin: "We worked him hard, then we rested him. We'll continue to do that until his conditioning is caught up and he's ready."
Bonus points to the Seahawks for letting us know before rosters lock at noon tomorrow. Golden Tate's and Sidney Rice's fantasy stock for this week gets a slight bump up on this news.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harvin plays Week 9, but I don't think fantasy owners should expect a ton when he comes back. Harvin is certainly a special talent, but what made him a top-5 fantasy wide receiver with the Vikings was the high volume of touches he received. Doug Baldwin, Sidney Rice and Golden Tate are infinitely better than Jerome Simpson, Michael Jenkins and the other receivers Minnesota trotted out last season. He isn't going to average nine touches per game like he did in Minnesota in 2011 and 2012, and he may not return kicks for Seattle either. If I knew Harvin was playing this week he would be in the low-20s in my wide receiver rankings, and that is with six teams on bye. Even if he gets completely healthy this season I doubt he ever becomes much more than a high-end flex play. If you own him and can get more than that for him you should. That being said, he probably needs to be picked up in all leagues, and I wouldn't wait unless you are desperate for roster spots due to all the teams on bye.
